Huangshan Mountain Tourist Festival

The first Huangshan Tourist Festival took place on October 25-30, 1991, and was attended by 103 tour operators and representative of travel services of the United States, Japan, Thailand, France, Germany, Singapore and other countries. A total of 500,000 people took part in the activities organized during the festival. The success of the festival not only won the heart of travelers from at home and abroad, but also expanded the worldwide reputation of Mt. Huangshan and promoted local tourism. The local authorities, therefore, have designated it as an annual event.

During this festival people can enjoy traditional lantern shows, folklore performances, tour of Mt. Huangshan and ancient structures in Huizhou, tourist business talks, negotiations on attracting foreign investment, and commodity fairs.
