Jiayuguan Pass Glider Festival

Date: July 15-18
Venue: Jiayuguan Pass Glider Base (Gansu)

Glider contests and flight training are arranged. After the competition, silver, gold and diamond flight badges are awarded. Tourists may experience this unique mode of air travel and enjoy the mystical colors of the vast Gobi Desert and the splendor of the snow-covered Qilian Mountains. Tourists may also visit Jiayuguan Pass, the western end of the Great Wall, Jiuquan and Dunhuang, home to the greatest collection of Buddhist sutra and frescos in China.
