Zhangjiaje Forest Festival

Date: 2 or 3 days beginning from September 18
Venue: Zhangjiajie (Hunan)

Zhangjiajie is the first national forest park established in China, with a 97% forest cover and home to a good variety of rare and precious animals.

During the festival, tourists may join nature trails, rafting on the Maoyan River and take part in an international mountaineering and rock climbing invitational. The Tujia people will put on performances, practice Qigong and perform rock climbing.
